Yes, you can manage a StegX account on behalf of others, but there are certain requirements to do so. In this article, we discuss the conditions and considerations for managing a StegX account on behalf of someone else.

Can I Manage a StegX Account on Behalf of Someone Else (e.g. clients)?

Yes, but to manage a StegX account on behalf of another individual or company (e.g., clients), you need to provide specific documents and be aware of limitations on the number of investors that can be represented through the same StegX account, both of which are elaborated below.

What Documents Do I Need to Provide?

StegX requires a Power of Attorney (PoA) from the Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) for whom you are managing the account, verifying your authority to represent the UBO on our platform.

Please note that we need to manually verify the presented PoA, which could slightly delay the usual onboarding process.

What Limitations Are There?

At the moment, you are required to create a separate StegX account for each client you want to act on behalf of. Therefore, you cannot act on behalf of multiple clients in the same StegX account (except in the case of shared vehicles, which will provide one PoA). We understand that this solution is not ideal and are working hard to improve our platform capabilities in this regard.

What Do My Clients Need to Do?

Your clients need to provide you with the necessary onboarding data, including the mentioned PoA and also need to undergo a video identification process to verify their identity.

How Do I Set Up an Account for Acting on Behalf of Others?

The onboarding flow slightly differs from our usual automated process, which is why we need to ask you to reach out to us directly through our platform's contact form or by emailing us directly at (onboarding@stegx.finance) so that we can ensure a smooth onboarding process.

As mentioned above, you are required to create a separate StegX account for each client. Therefore, you need to create a StegX account using the client's information (not their email address as you will manage their account). During the onboarding process, you are required to provide the PoA. Once we receive the PoA, we will initiate two separate video identification processes, one for you as a wealth manager and one for your client.
